Maryland Forests Association Event

The Maryland Forests Association and Maryland Tree Farm Program are co-hosting "Why Markets Matter," a half-day symposium focused on Maryland's forest products industry. Three regional events will take place in October and November with lunch and program followed by a tree farm tour. The events are free, but registration is required.


Western Maryland - October 3 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Farm Tour of Rocky Resolve Tree Farm

Bill and Tina Buckel are the 2019 Northeast Tree Farmers of the Year. Bill will lead a tour of his 134-acre tree farm and discuss the challenges and opportunities for tree farmers today. 

Southern Maryland - October 10 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM

William Harris will lead a tour of his Southern Maryland tree farm to discuss the challenges and opportunities for tree farmers in the region.

Farm tour of Culp Tree Farms

The Culp family was named 2018 Maryland Tree Farmer of the Yearand were nominees for the Northeast Tree Farmer of the Year award. Jim Culp will take us on a tour and discuss the challenges and opportunities for tree farmers on the Eastern Shore.
